Chris Browne

Biography
Christopher Browne werd geboren in Jamaica en ging naar school in Jamaica en Engeland. Na de middelbare school vetrok hij naar de Verenigde Staten om een opleiding te volgen aan de kunstacademie van Atlanta. Hierna volgde het Art Institute van Chicago en later Columbia College in Chicago. Browne regisseerde zijn eerste speelfilm, Third World Cop, in 1999. De beleefde zijn wereldpremière op het Toronto Film Festival. In 2002 ontving Browne The Doctor Bird van zijn collega’s voor zijn artistieke prestaties en bijdragen aan de Jamaicaanse filmindustrie.

Christopher Browne was born in Jamaica. He was schooled in Jamaica and in England. Following high school, he moved to the United States where he started his Bachelor of Arts degree at The Atlanta College of Art. Then, he went to The Art Institute of Chicago, and later to Columbia College in Chicago. Browne directed his first feature film, Third World Cop, in 1999 which world premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. In 2002, Browne was awarded The Doctor Bird from his peers for his career achievements and contributions to the Jamaican film industry.
