Opening World Cinema Amsterdam

The festival kicks off on Thursday evening with the official opening at 09.30 PM, when Un homme qui crie will be screened; a father and son drama that won this year’s Jury Award in Cannes. The director, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun from Chad, will be present for a Q&A. The opening party, at which everyone is welcome, then gets under way.


Friday 13 August 11.30 PM

Late Night Screening Havanyork.

And after this it is time for a tropical afterparty with Bomb Diggy's Ru-D.


Saturday 14 August 11.30 PM
Late Night Screening Seguir Siendo: Café Tacvba.
Afterwards it is time to dance and party to the Latin and Electro beats of DJ Mulat at the Amsterdam Global City Party.

World Cinema Amsterdam Open Air pre-party.
These open air screenings get warmed up by DJ Cinema Royale, who’s tunes get everbody in the right mood.

Closing Party World Cinema Amsterdam Open Air - Brazilian Summer Sessions

In collaboration with A Hora do Brasil this Saturday, the Brazilian 'musical' Ó Paí, Ó will screen on the Marie Heinekenplein as part of World Cinema Amsterdam Open Air. From 07.00 PM the audience will be warmed up by DJ Paulo. After the movie ends, round midnight, everybody is welcome to the Brazilian after party at Rialto. Until the wee hours you can dance to the sultry sounds of DJ Paulo and Forrozar-percussionists Cleyton Barros and Nailton Miranda.
