After the death of his grandfather, Vitthal’s parents shave

isolation and anger. This first short film by editor
Vinoo Choliparambil won the First Prize, Asian Festival of
First Films, Singapore; Second Prize, Dubai International
Film Festival; Special Jury Award, Osian’s Cinefan Film
Festival; Indian National Award for Best Debut Director
(Non-Feature Films), and was at the Pusan and Montreal
film festivals.
Na de dood van zijn opa wordt, geheel volgende de hindoetradities, het hoofd van de 12-jarige Vitthal kaalgeschoren. Vitthal is woedend: niets kan deze vernedering, deze isolatie en deze woede stillen. Deze korte film van editor Vinoo Choliparambil werd eerste op het Asian Festival of First Films in Singapore, won de tweede prijs op het Dubai International Film Festival, de Special Jury Award op het Osian’s Cinefan Film Festival en de Indiase Nationale Prijs voor Beste Debuterende Regisseur (niet-speelfilms) en werd vertoond op de filmfestivals in Pusan en Montréal.
