What’s a film festival without great parties where you can meet cool people, enjoy exotic food and drinks and, last but not least, dance to swinging music by great DJs? This year’s edition of World Cinema Amsterdam features two parties: Fiesta Latinoamericana Cuban Style (SAT 15 AUG) and Yard Vibes (SAT 22 AUG). At the turntables will be DJs Fernando and Armenio and Radical Hifi, Sotu The Traveller, Rowstone and Madbwoy. Festival nights are long, hot & steamy!

Fiesta Latinoamericana Cuban Style: Muchachas Borrachas
A vibrant Latin party organized by Muchachas Borrachas (literally the Drunk Ladies) – a predominantly female group of musicians with a passion for Latin America. These tipsy chicas are determined to pursue their mission of bringing the latest Latin films and sounds to Amsterdam. The music for this night will be in the capable hands of DJ Fernando (El Punto Cubano) and DJ Armenio (Guacamayo Tropical).

Yard Vibes: Caribbean Creativity
In Jamaica a “Yard party” is a get-together for friends and family to relax, talk, eat, drink and dance. Caribbean Creativity decided this is the perfect kind of party for the Dutch capital, so now every four months a yard party is held somewhere in Amsterdam. The next one is in Rialto, on 22 August. At the turntables: DJ Radical Hifi, DJ Sotu The Traveller, DJ Rowstone and DJ Madbwoy.
