At the office of Cuba Travel Network, nearby Amsterdam's Vondelpark, there is a very special exhibition to visit that consists of more than 60 Cuban film posters - originally selfmade and printed by hand -, the selection ranges from the 60s to the present day.
The Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) was founded not long after the beginning of the Cuban Revolution (1959). This was the start of a new era not only for Cuban cinema, but also for the art of film poster design. With almost no resources but with a lot of creativity and humor a group of talented artists managed to give birth to the most renowned posters in recent Cuban film history. Some of these pieces, along with more contemporary designs done by young talents, are displayed at the office of Cuba Travel network in Amsterdam. Up to 60 film posters in a very exclusive exhibition!
