Biography Meyar Al Roumi (1973, Damascus, Syria) worked as a photographer before coming to Paris to study cinema. After graduation in 2001 he has worked as a director of photography on a number of documentary and fiction films in France and in Syria. He has completed a feature documentary that portrays a number of taxi drivers in Damascus: Six Ordinary stories and the long feature film Round trip in 2012. Tijdens World Cinema Amsterdam zal onder het thema; Under pressure: filmmaking in Syria zijn korte documentaire Sinama Sameta vertoond worden. |
